CONCEPT
The Gregorc Style Delineator is a self-scoring written instrument that elicits responses to a set of 40 specific words. Scoring the responses will give values for a model with two axes: a "perceptual space duality," concrete vs. abstract, and an "ordering duality," sequential vs. random. The resulting quadrants are the "styles":
Descriptions of the characteristics of these styles can be found in the materials available from Gregorc Associates.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Gregorc Style Delineator was created as a self-analysis tool and is based on a Mediation Ability Theory which states that the human mind has channels through which it receives and expresses information most efficiently and effectively. The outward appearance of an individual's mediation abilities is termed style. The Gregorc Style Delineator instrument is designed to reveal two types of mediation abilities: perception and ordering. Perception abilities, composed of abstractness and concreteness, are means through which one grasps information. Abstractness and concreteness are identified as: Abstractness refers to the ability to conceive and mentally visualize data using reason, emotion, and intuitiveness. Concreteness indicates the ability to assemble data through direct use and through physical senses. Ordering abilities, composed of sequence and randomness, indicate arrangement, systematization, reference and disposition of information. Sequence is identified as the characteristics of grasping and organizing information in a linear process or order. Randomness is characterized as grasping and organizing information in a nonlinear manner, thus, enhancing the ability to deal with a variety of stimuli, information, and activities.

PERSONAL REFLECTION
After taking the Gregorc Style Delineator, I found out that I tend to be Concrete Sequential (36) and Abstract Sequential (29). This means I am usually structured, practical, predictable, and thorough. Besides, I am logical, analytical, conceptual, and studious. I believe that these results coincide with the impression I have of myself. I would also add that this is the way people that know me see me. I am definitely a perfectionist who always strives to do his best. I consider myself very hardworking and patient as well. However, I am aware of the fact that I need to be more aggressive and assertive. Moreover, I need to embrace change in a more positive way because change is the only constant in life.
